Presidential hopeful publishes AI generated image of protests in São Paulo

Presidential hopeful Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-SP) used artificial intelligence to call his supporters for a public demonstration on March 1st. An image published in his official Instagram account shows a crowd of people wearing yellow and green shirts and holding Brazilian flags on Paulista Avenue in São Paulo.

The photo has synthetic characteristics such as plasticized appearance, excessive symmetry and inconsistencies with real images of the demonstration – in Flávio Bolsonaro’s publication the day seemed sunny, when in fact it was cloudy.
The politician, however, did not signal the use of technology. His post was used to call for protests. “Good morning, Brazil! Who is already awake?”, says the caption.
