PL uses AI to criticize Lula’s support for Palestine
The party manipulated the president's image to suggest that he had ties to terrorists
The Liberal Party (PL) used artificial intelligence to criticize Lula’s support for Palestine. In a post on the party’s official Instagram account, a photo shows the president laughing alongside terrorists from the Hamas group. The post was made after the Israeli foreign minister criticized the Brazilian president for Brazil’s withdrawal from the alliance that supported the offensive against Palestine. He also used artificial intelligence in his post.
Unlike the Israeli minister, however, the PL post does not indicate any use of AI technology, but the video does show signs of synthetic content, such as inconsistencies in Lula’s appearance.
