ACM Neto, former Salvador mayor, used artificial intelligence to promote his pre-candidacy for the governorship of Bahia in social media. A video published on his official Instagram account shows the politician as the top scorer for the Brazilian football team. “Ready, prepared and wanting to get on the field and solve the game!”, says the caption.
It is possible to see that this is synthetic content due to the fantasy appearance of the images and inconsistencies such as the presence of non-existent characters in texts. The politician, however, did not signal the use of technology, as required by the Brazilian Electoral Court.
